Shift Column Gauge Pod Installation

We recommend removing the shift column to install the gauge pod. It will help compress the 3M double sided tape for better adhesion. Removing the column is easy. Ensure surfaces are clean prior to applying the tape.

Ensure the hood latch will clear your mounting location!

  1. Remove the 4WD selector shift knob.

2. Shift the transmission into Neutral.
3. remove the 4 philips head screws on either side of the shift column.
4. remove the shift column by pulling it upward. Then twist 90 degrees to get the shifter head through the hole (having the shifter in neutral provides necessary clearance).

5. With the column removed, remove the backing from the tape and apply in the desired location, bracing the inside of the shift column to ensure the tape makes full contact.
6. This is also a good time to run wires, if you choose to drill ad route wires internally. We recommend leaving plenty of service loop inside for future servicing. Wires can also be run externally and under the carpet.

7. The drivers seat hatch is a good location to run wires into the engine bay. This avoids going over the radiator and fan. We have hoes drilled with grommets for the various runs.
